An initiative to enhance community life in Oakworth has been praised by Bradford councillors.

Keighley Area Committee members hailed Oakworth Forward as an excellent example of good partnership working.

The politicians will take its work into account when making their own decisions on services and projects in the village.

Oakworth Forward emerged from a drive to reduce anti-social behaviour in Oakworth Park.

Residents and local agencies are working together to find long-lasting activities for the village's young people.

The area committee, Brad-ford Council's local decision-making body, asked its staff to continue to support Oakworth Forward.
