A fire in a central heating boiler caused some smoke damage to a house in Salisbury Road, Keighley.
Two crews from Keighley Fire Station attended the incident, at 9.30am today.
The occupants of the terrace property escaped unharmed.
Fire service watch manager Philip Troake said: "We isolated the gas and electricity supply to the boiler, which put out the fire. We then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any spread of heat and ventilated the property. The gas board also attended."
The fire was restricted to the boiler, in the ground-floor kitchen.
Mr Troake urges householders to ensure that gas boilers and appliances are checked regularly by CORGI-registered tradesmen.
