A NEW season of events begins next week at Glusburn Community and Arts Centre.
A screening of Kenneth Branagh’s acclaimed film Belfast kicks off the programme on Friday, September 2, followed on September 17 by a concert featuring Dire Straits tribute band Money for Nothing.
Activities at the Colne Road venue, also known as Glusburn Institute, are returning to normal following the pandemic.
Several groups have resumed meetings, and new ones are using the building.
The annual general meeting takes place on Wednesday, September 7, at 7.15pm, which all residents are invited to attend.
New volunteers are being invited to help with the running of the building.
A spokesperson said: "More volunteers are always welcome – we're sure we can provide opportunities to match your skills and interests." Anyone interested should call 01535 630223 or email debby@gicac.org.uk.
