PEOPLE are being given the chance to learn more about a historic village church.
St Mary's at Oxenhope is staging a free open day on Saturday, September 10, between 10am and 2pm.
The event is being held as part of Yorkshire Churches Day and Heritage Open Days.
Visitors can discover more about the church's stained glass windows, bells and connections to the Rev Patrick Bronte.
In 1845 the Rev Bronte sent his curate to Oxenhope to hold services and raise money for a church building. Four years later, the church of St Mary the Virgin was consecrated.
Congregation members will be available at the open day to answer questions. There will be children's activities and refreshments.
The bells will be rung between 11.15am and noon, and people can watch the bellringers in action.
Vicar of Oxenhope, the Rev Cat Thatcher, says: "St Mary’s is open to visitors every day, but on September 10 there will be a special opportunity to find out more about the church from the people who know it best. This is a great chance for adults and children alike to explore St Mary’s in a friendly and relaxed setting."
The church is in Hebden Bridge Road.
