Volunteers are needed to ensure activities can be organised at Long Lee Village Hall.

Residents who run the centre desperately need more people for their management committee.

The building is now available for activities following work to stop long-running flooding problems.

The existing volunteers have been working with Keighley Voluntary Services development worker Jo Horrox.

She said they wanted active volunteers to come forward in time for the annual meeting on April 2.

Jo said work by Bradford Council to tackle the flooding had now been completed.

Many activities had to be stopped last year because residents could not reach the building due to water outside.

A £6,000 grant from Bradford Vision to landscape the site had to be deferred until anti-flood work was complete.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the centre can phone Jo on 07958 767548 or Desmond Jackson on 01535 607234.
