A HAWORTH show which hadn't been held for two years due to the pandemic returned at the weekend – and was hailed as a huge success by organisers.
Over 300 people attended Haworth & District Gardeners' Show, held at the village hall in Butt Lane yesterday.
The event featured 105 classes – covering vegetables, flowers, produce, handicrafts and photography – and more than 60 exhibitors.
"It was lovely to see so many wonderful exhibits," said a spokesperson.
"Everyone who attended the show, the 102nd, seemed pleased we were holding it again.
"Sunshine, and music from a barrel organ, helped add extra cheer! Thanks go to the volunteers from Manorlands for being in charge of the refreshments – they work hard to raise funds towards the £10,000 per day needed to run the hospice.
"A big 'thank you' also to the class sponsors, the judges for giving their time, the exhibitors for supporting us and all the volunteers who turned up on the Saturday night to get the hall ready and all those who helped through the day on Sunday and to tidy up afterwards."
New committee members are welcome. Anyone interested should contact an existing member or email haworthshow@gmail.com.
