Tickets were released this week for the sequel to a hugely successful school reunion event.

Last year's "Skool's Out For-Ever at Bronte" attracted more than 950 people and raised more than £7,000 for Manorlands.

It was held to mark the closure of the former Brontë School, in Keighley. This year's event - being staged at Oakbank School, by Worth Valley Young Farmers Club, on April 5 - has been named "Movin' On Up" and will again raise money for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder Care hospice.

And during the evening the winners of a vote, to name streets at the housing development proposed for the Brontë site after two former teachers at the school, will be announced.

Manorlands fundraiser Andrew Wood said voting so far had been brisk.

He added: "We have already had over £200 pledged in the name of teachers and with Persimmon Homes match funding the total raised, this is a great fundraising project."

Former pupils can view the shortlist and vote at justgiving.com/bronteteachers. Voting closes on April 5, just before the announcement of the results.

Tickets for the event are available - priced £7 - from the Sue Ryder Care shops at Keighley and Haworth, the Wuthering Heights pub, the Snooty Fox, the Three Horses, Matt's Headroom and Whitakers Animal Feeds.
