Police saw James Spencer's Land Rover weaving over the centre white line of the road and back again and later stopped him in Long Lee Lane, at Keighley, magistrates were told.
Spencer, of Scar Top, Oakworth, who pleaded guilty to drink-driving, was banned for 12 months and fined £200. He was also ordered to pay £60 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge. He was stopped at 2.43am on February 22 after being followed by police from Harden.
Bingley Court was told on Tuesday that a breath test at Keighley Police Station following his arrest revealed he had 55 microgrammes of alcohol to 100 millilitres of blood - the legal limit is 35.
