A wedding in Haworth was a real family affair for village rector the Rev Jenny Savage.

She led the service at the parish church when daughter Judith married Daniel Norcross.

And Mrs Savage wasn't the only family member officially involved in the ceremony on Saturday. One son, Robert, was the organist, while the other, Matt, took the photographs.

And 18-year-old daughter Lucy, who hopes to be an opera singer, sang Pie Jesu.

Following tradition, Mrs Savage's husband, Edwin, gave away his daughter.

Meanwhile, Mrs Savage's mother, Margaret Gillard, made the flowers for the pew ends.

And her aunt and uncle, vergers Marie and Harold Jackson, prepared the church.

Mrs Savage has performed about ten weddings each year since arriving at St Michael's in 1999. But she had never before officiated at the wedding of a family member. She said: "I was quite nervous but it was a real privilege. It was wonderful.

"The rehearsal felt the most peculiar but on the day it was quite relaxed because I knew people. "My husband said it was quite strange because I was telling him what to do."

The family of Daniel, the bridegroom, also got involved in the proceedings.

His brother Mark was an usher and Mark's partner, Rachel, drove the bridal car.

Daniel's parents, Karen and John, made the invitations and his niece Abbie was a bridesmaid.

The best man was Jason Meek.
