Mirella Carr is flying high after graduating from a prestigious Royal Air Force college.
The 24-year-old, from Keighley, has graduated with merit as a flying officer from RAF College Cranwell, in Lincolnshire. It follows completion of initial officer training.
Mirella and more than 90 fellow graduates marked their achievement with a parade in front of Air Chief Marshal Sir Clive Loader, Commander-in-Chief Air Command.
Mirella - whose parents, Jeff and Sandra, live in Keighley - attended the town's Holy Family School and then graduated from Durham University with a BA in psychology. She joined the RAF in June last year. She will now begin her professional training with the operations support branch - flight operations.
"I am extremely happy that my efforts have paid off and I am about to embark on an exciting career," she said. "I'd like to say a big thank you to all those who have supported me, especially my family."
Mirella is a keen sportswoman and enjoys rowing, running and watching Keighley Cougars.
