A WOMAN from Goose Eye is running the London Marathon to raise money for charity.
Carol Senior will pound the streets of the capital on October 2 in support of Sue Ryder, which operates Manorlands hospice at Oxenhope.
"Running has always been a big part of my life," says Carol, who with husband David is co-director of Keighley's Cliffe Castle parkrun.
"The pandemic was a bad time for all of us and it's only recently that I've returned to a new level of physical fitness and wellbeing.
"Now I need a challenge to focus on and the London Marathon will certainly be that!
"If I can raise money for Sue Ryder too that is a bonus."
The marathon will mark an emotional anniversary for Carol – she last completed the event 20 years ago with her late husband Ralph Cooper, who taught at Keighley College.
