A Rush Moor medal winner joined her four-year-old son in a mock version of the Olympics at a Silsden Pre-School.

Louise Maude, who won a bronze medal for Netball in a 1990 international competition for non-Olympic sports participated in a mini version of the games with her son Sam at Pied Piper Pre-School in Silsden.

Parents and family friends sponsored the contestants to compete in triple jump, basketball, bowling and cycling at St James Church.

The money raised went towards Pied-Piper, which is a non-profit making organisation, so it can provide building blocks for the children to play with.

Ms Maude said: "They will be able to get some more equipment and that will benefit the children.

"I found it very trying to keep track of them, they were a lot more enthusiastic than I was!"

Parents went around the course with their children, who received a certificate detailing what they had achieved along with a gold medal afterwards.

Leader of the Pied Piper Christine Stratton said that the day had gone well and the fund-raising team would be organising more events in the future.
