THERE'S no pulling the wool over the eyes of Silsden sheep breeder Janet Keefe.
She saw her April, 2021, Herdwick female take the reserve champion title at a Skipton Auction Mart event.
Its success was in the annual breeders' auctions of rare and native stock.
Organisers said the event attracted a large and varied entry.
The champion was a Greyface Dartmoor ewe from husband-and-wife team, Tom and Sophie Holgate, of Halton West.
They have been breeding Greyface Dartmoors for around five years, alongside established cattle and sheep holdings.
Show judge at the event was Jack Foster, of Wigglesworth.
Held on the same day at the venue was an annual show and sale of goats.
Skipton Auction Mart debutant Joanne Webster, from Southam in Warwickshire, took the champion title with a home-bred Boer nanny.
The reserve champion crown went to a Boer billy shown by an entrant from Eccleshall, in Staffordshire.
