Action must be taken to tackle potential traffic problems caused by Airedale Masterplan projects, it is claimed.
Bradford councillors want regional and national bodies to address the transport implications of the schemes.
These include plans to improve Keighley Railway Station and redevelop Keighley college sites in the town centre.
Other projects are the Shipley Eastern Link Road and a new technology park between Crossflatts and Bingley.
Bradford's regeneration improvement committee has considered a report outlining the projects' progress.
Members heard that Bradford Council had bought the college sites on North Street and Cavendish Street with Government money.
This was in readiness for Park Lane College Keighley moving to a new Dalton Lane campus by September 2010.
The report said: "Work is now beginning on a developer brief and disposal strategy for the site.
"The masterplan recommends a mixed use development with a hotel at its core."
Discussions were now being held with key organisations about the improvements, as part of a wider Keighley Transport Strategy.
