Cullingworth seniors are tuned in after buying a piano with lottery cash.

The instrument will be well used by the performers who entertain the village's Over-60s Club.

The club, which meets weekly, regularly plays host to singers, pianists and choirs.

The new instrument, a traditional upright piano, will be situated in Cullingworth Village Hall.

The hall's original piano could not be used after it was damaged several years ago.

A public appeal led to another piano being donated but gradually it lost keys and went out of tune.

The club then successfully applied to the lottery's Awards For All fund and received £4,999.

The Over 60s Club meets for an hour each Thursday, from 2.30pm, for activities such as humorous talks, slide shows and refreshments.

New members are welcome, and can go along any Thursday.
