A SERIES of events is being held next week encouraging people to explore what's on offer at their local library.
Activities are taking place across North Yorkshire – at venues including South Craven Community Library.
Staff from Craven College and North Yorkshire Adult Learning and Skills Service will visit the Cross Hills library to promote learning opportunities and run taster sessions.
Other events being held throughout the county will include art sessions, poetry readings and author talks.
This year’s theme is Never Stop Learning.
Councillor Greg White, North Yorkshire County Council’s executive member for libraries, says: "Libraries Week is an opportunity to showcase all of the fantastic activities the service has to offer. This year, it’s all about celebrating the role that libraries play in supporting life-long learning."
