THERE'S no pulling the wool over the eyes of one Steeton farming family.
A show and sale's shearling ewe section was topped by the first prize and reserve champion pen from breed stalwarts the Fort family – Graham and Mandy, and their children Terry and Beverley – of Brighton House Farm.
They were taking part in the Lleyn Sheep Society’s traditional seasonal finale – its annual registered show and sale held at Craven Cattle Marts' Skipton Auction Mart.
The family's victorious ewes went on to sell for £205 per head.
At the same event, the Fort siblings also finished runners-up in their own right in the shearling ram show class – with Brightonhouse Kori, sired by Goldies Inspiration.
There was a busy ringside on the day, with many newcomers joining regulars at the popular fixture.
Rams also saw a solid trade at the event, with only three returning home unsold.
