A RETIRED Methodist minister turned author – who grew up in Cross Roads – is returning to the area to give a talk.
The Rev Malcolm Lorimer will be guest speaker at the next Lees Methodist Church Meeting Point.
His subject is cartoons – he has collected many, from numerous sources, over the years.
The Rev Lorimer has also written books including a novel, Murder on the Ribblehead Viaduct, which he will touch upon during his talk.
Maurice Baren, for Lees Methodist Church, says: "It will be good to have Malcolm back in the village. Perhaps former school friends will be glad to meet up with him again.
"We offer a warm and welcoming room, and pleasant company. Everyone is welcome."
The meeting is at the church, opposite Lees Primary School, on Wednesday, October 19. Tea and biscuits will be available from 1.45pm, and the talk will start at 2pm.
