FOLLOWING the mini-budget recently announced by the Conservative Government, which at that time included £45 billion of tax cuts for higher earners, Robbie Moore – MP for the Keighley and Ilkley constituency – was quoted as saying "residents across Keighley and Ilkley will have more money in their pockets to help deal with the current cost-of-living challenge". He claimed "economic growth and cost-of-living support" is at the heart of the budget.
What do readers of the Keighley News think? The Craven branch of the Labour Party is holding a snap poll to find out whether the people of Silsden agree with his words. This will be held on Saturday (October 15), between 10am and noon, on the paved area opposite St James’ Church – weather permitting.
Do drop by and let us know your views. There will also be a book stall.
Wendy Neville, Silsden
