ILLUSTRATOR and author Chris Mould led workshops with students at a Keighley secondary school.
He initially spoke to the Year 9 pupils at Holy Family about his own career and showed some work he'd brought in from his studio at Dean Clough, Halifax.
Chris has numerous books to his credit, with 20 currently in print. They include a version of George Orwell's Animal Farm that he has illustrated.
He spotlighted some of the pictures that had inspired him during his life, spoke about the illustrations he'd created for Animal Farm – the text pupils are studying this year – and gave an overview of careers within the industry.
A school spokesperson said: "Later in the day Chris described his intentions behind Animal Farm and then recreated the illustrations, with students following him step by step.
"The session culminated with participants creating their own illustrations, many of which turned out brilliantly."
