KEIGHLEY parish has welcomed a new face to its team.
The Rev Alastair Kirk has been appointed team vicar for all-age discipleship.
He was licensed by Bishop Toby Howarth in a celebration at Keighley Shared Church.
Rector of Keighley, the Rev Canon Mike Cansdale, says: "Alastair brings lots of experience and wisdom to help grow the church across the town in this new role."
For the past eight years, the Rev Kirk had been vicar of Burley-in-Wharfedale.
He has moved to Keighley with his wife Sara and their three sons.
He says: "For a while I had been wondering about a change. I was wanting to get involved in a team working in an urban multi-cultural context."
The Rev Kirk can be contacted on revalastair@keighleyparish.org.
