A KEIGHLEY pub is riding high after raising £4,650 in the Sue Ryder Mascot Gold Cup.
The Reservoir Tavern has handed over a cheque to Oxenhope hospice Manorlands.
An 11-strong team from the West Lane pub, including landlady Gail Lloyd, donned mascot costumes to take part in the event at Wetherby racecourse earlier this year.
One team member, Bobby Brown, won an award for the highest individual fundraising total.
Andrew Wood, community fundraising manager at Manorlands, says: "We’re so grateful to the staff and regulars at the Reservoir Tavern for their ongoing support – it was great to see them assembled in their mascot costumes!
"As a charity we're reliant on generous supporters donating and fundraising for us, and this money will help us continue to be there when it matters for people going through the most difficult times of their lives."
Next year's Sue Ryder Mascot Gold Cup – sponsored by Poundland – takes place on Sunday, April 30, and the Manorlands fundraising team is urging pubs and other organisations to enter.

Manorlands supports patients with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. Services are free, but it costs £10,000 a day to run the hospice.
