KEIGHLEY MP Robbie Moore has praised the town's manufacturing industry and apprenticeship schemes.
He was speaking after a visit to A1 Roper, which specialises in manufacturing foundry ladles and other equipment.
Mr Moore said: "It was a pleasure to visit A1 Roper Ltd. It is a truly inspiring business with a great team of people, an incredible work ethic and a real desire to expand.
"Manufacturers, such as A1 Roper, form the heart and soul of our town. The industry plays a vital role in our local economy by driving innovation, job creation and growth."
During the visit he met an apprentice who had started recently.
"Apprenticeships are a brilliant way to gain hands-on experience in the workplace whilst also getting paid," said Mr Moore.
