ELIGIBLE Keighley people have been urged to get vaccinated ahead of winter.
The plea was made by Rukeya Miah, a Bradford deputy associate director of nursing and senior midwife, during visits to venues across the town.
She called at locations including the Ghosia and Markasi Jamia mosques, an Eden Community Association advice day at Keighley Library and a vaccination pop-up clinic in the Airedale Shopping Centre, to answer questions and encourage people to keep themselves healthy.
"Make sure you have the vaccinations – Covid and flu – if you are eligible in order to keep yourself and your wider community well this winter," she said.
A number of walk-in clinics are being expanded this month to include mosques and community centres – including Keighley Association Women & Children's Centre today (November 2), Ghosia Mosque on Saturday (November 5) and November 12, and Markasi Jamia Mosque on November 19 and 26.
There will also be more sessions available at the Airedale Shopping Centre, where the Modality GP partnership has run a pop-up vaccination centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
