KEIGHLEY MP Robbie Moore has been championing British food and farming at an event in Parliament.
He met up with National Farmers Union president Minette Batters during a gathering to mark Back British Farming Day.
Mr Moore, a member of the parliamentary environment food and rural affairs committee, says: "I am very proud to represent farmers from across our area, many of whom produce the best lamb and beef our country has to offer. And it was great to show my recognition for their work in Parliament.
"Farmers in the area contribute to our local economy, provide jobs and produce high-quality food, all whilst maintaining the beautiful Yorkshire countryside we all know and love.
"Recent developments in the sector have shown just how important it is to have a resilient farming and agricultural industry. Food security is so important and it's essential that the industry gets the recognition it deserves."
