KEIGHLEY people are being urged to have their say on a new framework which will guide development in the town over the coming decades.
Developers, businesses, landowners and members of the public are being encouraged by Bradford Council to give their views.
The framework will help focus investment decisions and regeneration priorities for the next 20 years.
Initial consultation, which runs until December 21, centres on people's perceptions of their community and the challenges and opportunities faced.
Further consultation, next spring, will examine specific ideas and options.
Similar frameworks are being drawn up for Bradford city centre and other town centres in the district.
Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw – the council's portfolio holder for regeneration, planning and transport – says: "The new development frameworks will ensure that economic growth delivers excellent investment and job opportunities whilst making sure our city and towns are clean, green and healthy places to live, work and invest over the coming decades.
"We’re really interested in people’s views on the important issues that surround local economic development and encourage everyone with a stake in the district’s future to take part.
"Results will feed into ideas being developed for the frameworks."
