NEW members of Keighley Lions, Mel Thompson and Pete Haggo, have been collecting bags of scarves and warm hats which they are donating to Keighley Parish Church to give to the needy this Christmas.
The duo were also able to provide Christmas trees for distribution by the church.
They are pictured here with Rev Natasha Thomas, of the shared church, with Keighley Lions president Carole Ogden.
Carole said the club was delighted to have welcomed several new members to the fold over the past months and pleased they all share the Lions ethic of helping people within the district.
The club has also donated money towards buying new items for the homeless this Christmas.
Anyone interested in joining the group can go along. It meets at the social centre, Keighley Blind Association, in Scott Street, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm. Contact Lion Secretary: Harry Ambler. E-mail: cox.will03@googlemail.com for more information.
