A COUNCILLOR is urging motorists to take extra care on a busy village road.
Andrea Walker describes Bar Lane at Riddlesden as "a blind spot".
Cllr Walker – who represents Riddlesden and Stockbridge on Keighley Town Council, and lives in Bar Lane – says there have been at least two accidents at the location recently.
"Fortunately those involved were 'walking wounded' – but my real fear is that one day there'll be a serious crash from which someone won't walk away," said Cllr Walker.
"Bar Lane is a 'blind spot' and it's used by a lot of people, plus motorists coming down are then having to turn into a busy main road and that can be dangerous.
"I would encourage people to take extra care."
