RAIL operator Northern has produced a calendar highlighting travel guidance for passengers over the Christmas and New Year period.
The calendar factors in known industrial action, major engineering work and the regular Christmas 'shut down'.
Information is provided on when customers can and cannot travel, including days when disruption is likely or only limited services will be operating, until January 10.
Tricia Williams, chief operating officer at Northern, says: "We hope that this quick reference guide will make it easier for customers to organise their travel arrangements over the Christmas period.
"The main cause of the disruption remains industrial action by the RMT union and we can only apologise to our customers for the inconvenience it will cause to their journeys.
"Our new timetable came into effect just before this extended period of disruption, so we are advising customers to use the new 'Check My Timetable' feature on the website to see the changes specific to their local station."
Northern, which runs services on the Airedale line, is the second largest train operator in the UK – with nearly 2,500 services a day to more than 500 stations across the north of England.
