More strikes to affect Northern services
MORE strikes are set to hit rail services next week.
Northern, which operates trains on the Airedale line, says services will be brought to a halt from next Tuesday (January 3) until Saturday, January 7.
Tricia Williams, for the company, says: "This is a most regrettable start to 2023 and we can only apologise to our customers whose return to work from the holidays will be disrupted through action by the RMT and ASLEF.
"For many, Monday will be their first experience of our new timetable – which went live this month and includes an additional 3,000 services a week across our network.
"We’re encouraging everyone to use the new ‘Check My Timetable’ feature on our website to see changes specific to their local station."
