Youth cafe members planning the orchard
AN orchard planting day takes place in Denholme on Saturday (January 7).
Volunteers are invited to help at the event.
The community orchard is being planted in Foster Park.
Behind the initiative are Denholme Youth Cafe and Fruit Works Co-operative, a Bradford Council tree-planting partner.
Volunteers should meet at Denholme Youth Cafe at 10am.
Free refreshments – cake and tea – will be available.
"This promises to be a great community project," says Kelly Robertson, for the youth cafe.
"Anyone who could spare an hour or so is welcome to come along. Bring a spade if possible, although some will be available on the day."
