PLANS to demolish a long-disused church and build housing on the site have been withdrawn.
A planning application was submitted to Bradford Council in 2019 for the demolition of the former Church of Christ the King, off Bradford Road at Crossflatts, and to construct 14 homes.
Last year the scheme, proposed by Pinnacle View Homes, was amended to include just 12 houses.
But now the planning application has been withdrawn.
No further information has been given about the reasons for the decision.
The church building, which is located between Bradford Road and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, has been empty since it closed in 2006. It was one of a number of Catholic churches across the district to shut their doors for good that year.
