A KEIGHLEY GP surgery is to close for "emergency" maintenance work to be carried out.

Holycroft Surgery, in Oakworth Road, will be shut from Monday (January 23).

Modality Partnership, which runs the practice, says it is not currently known how long the closure will last.

It says services will be temporarily relocated to other sites.

A spokesperson said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Modality Partnership has taken the difficult decision to temporarily close the Holycroft Surgery building to enable emergency maintenance to be carried out. As a result, the building will be closed from Monday (January 23).

"Patient access and care will be unaffected, as all services will be relocated to neighbouring Modality sites. Acute same day GP services will be available at Farfield Surgery. All other services will be provided at either Oakworth or Long Lee Modality Surgery sites. All patients with booked appointments at Holycroft Surgery will be contacted by text or telephone with the new location of their appointment.

"Patients should still contact the Holycroft Surgery team by telephone, or via our website, with their medical query. A further update will be provided once Modality has confirmation of when the emergency maintenance will be complete. Thank you for your patience."
