THE Worst Person in the World is coming to Keighley.
The 2021 movie is next month's offering from Keighley Film Club.
Spokesperson, Alan Watkinson, says: "Each February the club has screened a romantic option for film lovers.
"This year is no exception, with a critically acclaimed romantic comedy drama that received top accolades at Cannes, Toronto and New York film festivals."
The movie chronicles four years in the life of Julie, a young woman who navigates the troubled waters of her love life and struggles to find her career path.
Julie is played by Renate Reinsve, who has won a 'best actress' accolade for her portrayal, while the movie – directed by Joachim Trier – has earned several awards including best international feature film and best original screenplay.
Descriptions by critics have ranged from "one of Cannes' best" to "an instant classic", and review site Rotten Tomatoes awarded it a 96 per cent rating.
The Worst Person in the World, which is in Norwegian and English, has a 15 certificate and runs for two hours eight minutes.
The screening is at Keighley Picture House, North Street, on Sunday, February 19. Doors open at 5.35pm and the film starts at 6pm.
