YORKSHIRE dialect will be the talk of a National Trust group this month.
Rod Dimbleby, chair of the Yorkshire Dialect Society, is guest speaker at the next meeting of the National Trust's Airedale & Wharfedale Association.
His subject will be A Yorkshire Dialect Treasure Trove-Discovering John Hartley's Clock Almanack.
The meeting is at Shipley Library on Saturday, February 18, at 2.30pm.
Mr Dimbleby was born in Bradford and educated at Thornton Grammar School and Durham University.
The retired modern languages teacher is also a member of the Society for Storytelling.
The National Trust Airedale & Wharfedale Association, which was formed in 1971, meets monthly between September and April and organises excursions during the spring and summer.
