PUPILS from Cowling Community Primary School took part in a five-day residential in the Lake District.
Based at the Outward Bound Trust's Ullswater centre, the youngsters took part in a range of activities from mountain walking to team-building exercises.
The initiative coincided with Children’s Mental Health Week.
Emma Pease, for the school, said "Children need to be aware of mental health and how they can support themselves and each other to grow as people.
"The week enabled our children to take time away from the classroom in an adventurous environment, where they could develop their own self-esteem and build a stronger connection with their peers and the outdoors. By visiting the centre, this will hopefully help them realise they can achieve more than they know."
