A DISTRICT NHS trust is staging a careers fair.
Step into the NHS takes place at The Bradford Hotel, in the city, on Saturday, March 4, between 10am and 3pm.
There will be stalls, workshops and talks.
Mental health nurses and community health, children’s services and learning disability team members, plus a range of other professionals such as physiotherapists and pharmacists, will be present to speak to visitors.
The fair is being organised by Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Nisha Kaur, who joined the trust as a mental health nurse last year, urges anyone considering a career in the NHS to attend.
She adds: "I would recommend working in the NHS to anybody who wants to make a difference.
"At the care trust, we're improving the health and wellbeing of communities which are among the most deprived in the UK. Also, as a BAME individual working in mental health, I know how important it is to create a workforce which properly represents the communities we look after – and research shows this can improve quality of care."
The fair is free to attend. People can book a place in advance via eventbrite.co.uk/e/step-into-the-nhs-with-bradford-district-care-trust-tickets-489381462127, or simply turn up on the day.
