KEIGHLEY people are being invited to apply for a place on a free cyber security training programme.
The Cyber Ready Bradford initiative – funded by the Government – is aimed at those with previous experience in IT, who are seeking to develop their skills for more advanced positions within the industry.
During the six-month programme, participants will build their cyber security skills and knowledge and have the chance to undertake two professional certifications from CompTIA, the non-profit association for the IT industry and workforce.
Zeshan Sattar, senior director for learning and skills certification at CompTIA, says: "Currently there is a significant cyber security skills gap which is increasing and affecting numerous firms, not just in the UK but around the globe.
"As we continue to move forward in the digital age it’s vital that we provide people with the skills necessary so that they can move into these roles, creating high-value jobs and providing businesses with the expertise they need to keep secure."
The training programme will begin on April 27.

The deadline for applications is April 14. Successful candidates will be chosen by a panel of assessors.
