A CULLINGWORTH woman attended a Westminster reception held in recognition of female entrepreneurs.

Sandra Corcoran, director of Pennine Cycles, was amongst leading female business bosses from across the UK invited to the event, celebrating International Women’s Day.

"It was wonderful to celebrate in such a prestigious setting with other female entrepreneurs who are working their businesses with passion, hard work, grit and determination," says Sandra.

Guests enjoyed afternoon tea and networking. And speakers included the Shadow Minister for Small Business and Consumers, Seema Malhotra, and entrepreneur Lucy Griffiths.

Earlier this year, Sandra, who owns Pennine Cycles with husband Paul, was named as one of the UK's 100 most inspirational female entrepreneurs. She received the coveted recognition as part of Small Business Britain's f:Entrepreneur #ialso100 campaign.
