A RIDDLESDEN club has won a coveted accolade.
The Applegarth has been named Club of the Year by Keighley & Craven Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
Club president, Stuart Probst, said: "This is a tremendous accolade for us and represents the very real progress we have made since Andy Yuill took over as bar manager in 2021. At that time, we had two hand-pulled beers available, whereas we now have up to five cask ales on offer at any one time – more during special events."
The award was presented by CAMRA branch chair, Colleen Holiday.
She said: "We campaign to protect and promote clubs, which are important community assets.
"The Club of the Year competition is run with the simple aim of finding the best clubs with the greatest commitment to quality real ale – offering a fantastic atmosphere, welcoming surroundings and top-quality real ale served in great condition."
