A COMEDY night featuring some of the UK circuit's rising stand-up stars is being staged at Stanbury.
Cat & Stick Comedy is holding the event at the Old Silent Inn next Friday, March 31.
Seven comedians will be performing.
"All of them are rising in the ranks as some of the best the comedy circuit has to offer," said a spokesperson.
"They are coming from across the UK.
"There's a mix of comedy styles including musical, one liners, deadpan and dark humour. There is something for everyone.
"But if that isn't enough to convince people to come along, then maybe the beautiful venue itself will. The Old Silent Inn is steeped in history. It dates back over 400 years and legend has it when Bonnie Prince Charlie was retreating to Scotland he stayed there, when it was The Eagle Inn. Local inhabitants remained silent about his presence and so it's believed that is why the pub adopted its present name."
The event line up features MC Alex Mitchell, Lizzy Lenco, Silham Shahzad, Alexander Camp, Ben Turner, Andy Ellis and Sarah JH.
Doors open at 7.30pm, and the show starts at 8pm.
Tickets are £6, plus a 15p booking fee, from catandstickcomedy.com.
