HAWORTH & Worth Valley Rotary Club has staged its community grant presentation evening.
Representatives from four of the six organisations that were awarded funds attended the event, at Newsholme Manor, Oakworth.
The presentations were made by honorary club member, Councillor Rebecca Poulsen.
Beneficiaries represented at the event were Keighley and District Talking Newspaper, Haworth Central Park Bowling Club, Stitch4CharityWest Yorkshire and Lees Cum Cross Roads Village Association.
Other recipients, unable to be present, were Oxenhope Church of England Primary School and Haworth Riding for the Disabled.
The grant initiative was started, through Haworth & Worth Valley Rotary Club's charitable trust, following the pandemic when £2,000 was made available to support smaller community groups struggling to survive.
In the latest round of grants, the pot was upped to £2,550, with some of the additional funds being generated by people who took part in the club’s first-ever Santa fun run last year.
