COWLING are top of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League Division One after a commanding victory.
Batting first, Cowling scored 260-8 in their 45 overs against Sutton-in-Craven. Opener Rahman Ali led by example as he scored 76.
But Sutton were skittled out after 28 overs as they could only muster 109 in reply, for a 151-run victory for Cowling, who are top by nine points on 101.
There was also joy for second-placed Riddlesden who grabbed a 99-run victory over Haworth Road Methodists.
Batting first, Riddlesden scored 210 and in reply Haworth Road were dismissed for 111.
Haworth are third after an eight-wicket win over Denholme. The latter side reached 105 all out, while Haworth surpassed this target with 107-2. Jamie Rowell top scored for Haworth with 59.
Elsewhere, Eldwick & Gilstead (61 all out) lost to Gargrave (63-2) for an eight-wicket defeat.
Meanwhile, Airedale (152 all out) remain top of Division Two despite a three-wicket defeat to Glusburn (153-7).
A six-wicket defeat has left Silsden fourth in the table, as they crashed against Thornton-in-Craven.
Batting first, Silsden recorded 187-9 from their allotted 45 overs, while Thornton surpassed their target with 189.4.
Long Lee (175 all out) beat Skipton Church Institute by 136 runs in their league clash, as the latter side could only muster 39 all out.
