OXENHOPE sealed a commanding victory as they eased their struggles in the Halifax Cricket League Premier Division.
They moved up to 10th in the table following their 152-run victory over seventh-placed Ludendenfoot on Saturday.
Oxenhope won the toss and elected to field first and reached 303 all out from 45 overs. Wicketkeeper Lee Broadbent top scored for Oxenhope with 97 from 54 balls, an innings which included 10 fours and eight sixes. Joel Fothergill also chipped in with 61.
In reply, Ludendefoot were skittled out for 151 in 38.4 overs. Oxenhope’s Mohammad Hamza 3-30 from his five-over spell, while team-mate Daniel Scott finished with 3-34.
Meanwhile, Cullingworth are in a three-way battle at the top of Division Two after they drew their latest match on Saturday.
Batting first, Augustinians (Woodhouse) scored 201-9 from 45 overs. Cullingworth’s Elliot Robinson was the pick of his side’s bowlers with 3-43 from seven overs. James Bloodworth also had a three-wickets haul with 3-47.
In reply, Cullingworth reached 162-8 from their 45 overs. Bilal Khalid top scored with 40 from 37 balls. Cullingworth are now joint top on 10 points with Queensbury and Sowerby St Peters.
Oakworth (341-4) are fifth in Division Two after they secured an 85-run victory over Outlane (256 all out).
