KEIGHLEY Rotary Club has a new president.
Bernardine Maloney has taken over the reins, and said she was "delighted and proud" to be elected.
"I'm looking forward to the coming year," she adds.
"Next year is a milestone for the club, as it celebrates its 90th anniversary.
"The international Rotary motto for the year is 'Create Hope in the World', and we plan to focus our efforts to do just that!
"The Salvation Army food bank will continue as the presidential charity. It's doing a fantastic job helping people affected by the surge in inflation, and we'll run fundraising events to support its efforts."
She received the chain of office from outgoing president Jonathan Smith, who reflected on a successful year.
Highlights included the Poppy Appeal, young musicians competition, sponsorship of a young person for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, supporting the Staying Put Refuge, urn painting at Cliffe Castle, food collecting and fundraising for the Salvation Army and a headshave by member Maurice Baren for End Polio Now and Action for Children.
The club welcomes new members.
It will have a stall at Keighley Show on September 2, where members will be on hand to chat.
