A SECTION of main road through Denholme is to be closed over six Sundays for resurfacing work.
The A629 will be shut to through traffic, between its junctions with George Street and Whalley Lane.
The closures will take effect between 7.30am and 7pm starting on Sunday, July 23. The final closure will be on August 27.
Pedestrian access will be unaffected during the work, which is subject to weather conditions.
Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s executive member for regeneration, planning and transport, says: "These works are part of our ongoing investment in the road network to make journeys safer and reduce our maintenance backlog.
"We recognise that the work will cause some short-term disruption, but we're doing everything possible to keep this to a minimum."
