A NEW Keighley Pubwatch scheme has been launched to promote responsible drinking and combat anti-social behaviour across the town.
More than a dozen pubs and clubs are part of the initiative.
The venture includes a WhatsApp group, which enables members to instantly alert others about potential issues.
And regular meetings are being held.
A spokesperson says: “The aim of our collective is to promote responsible drinking at all our venues, discourage anti-social behaviour and ensure Keighley and its establishments are a safe place for our community to enjoy.
“We want to not only avert any problems that might arise within premises, but also outside pubs, which can have an impact on businesses.
“We’ve already had several meetings and it’s going well.”
Venues involved in the scheme are Taylor’s on the Green, The Boltmakers Arms, Bar 61, Percy Vears, The Nosey Cow, The Cavendish, JD Wetherspoon’s The Livery Rooms, The Great Northern, The Albert, The Royal Oak, The Three Horses, K2 & Afterdark, The Red Pig, The Brown Cow and The Variety Club.
