A BID is being made to relaunch Haworth Festival.
The event has been running on a reduced scale.
But now 'custodians' are proposing to revive the cultural extravaganza.
A public meeting is being held in the village later this month for anyone interested in getting involved.
The meeting takes place at the Old White Lion Hotel on Tuesday, August 29, at 8pm.
"We have had another small but very successful series of events this year and now we are holding this public meeting with a view to reforming the committee and rebuilding the cohort of individuals and organisations who together can put on a full nine-day cultural festival," said a spokesperson.
"It would be a shame if Haworth Festival was to fade away, particularly with Bradford City of Culture 2025 just around the corner.
"We would love to see the festival grow again and be the varied and vibrant community event it used to be, but to facilitate this we need more people to get involved.
"Anybody interested can simply come along to the meeting, or if you wish to support the festival but are unable to attend on August 29 please leave a message on the Haworth Festival Facebook page."
