THE search is on to find the Keighley area's best pub.

People are being urged to nominate their favourite hostelry.

And the public house with most nominations when voting closes on September 22 will take the coveted accolade.

The competition, launched by MP Robbie Moore, is open to pubs across his Keighley and Ilkley constituency.

In addition to an overall champion, there will be special recognition for area winners in Keighley, Ilkley, Craven and the Worth Valley.

"The constituency boasts a rich tapestry of brewing and most importantly great pubs with unique stories," says Mr Moore.

"Our local pubs and bars are not just places to enjoy superb food and drinks, they are vital community hubs which play a hugely important role bringing people together, tackling social isolation and supporting our local economy.

"I want to showcase and celebrate the invaluable role our pubs play in helping the economy, providing employment and sourcing products from our talented locally-based producers.

"The competition is a celebration of our area's rich pub culture.

"I'm inviting everyone across the constituency to nominate their favourite local establishment for the title of 'best pub', and good luck to all involved!"
