A KEIGHLEY company is proving a big hitter in the world of amateur sport sponsorship.
In its latest initiative, Clever Energy Boilers and Renewables is sponsoring a prestigious armed forces boxing event.
The firm is backing the Leuchars Station Boxing Championships.
Taking place next month at the Leuchars British Army base in Fife, the event will see amateur fighters from the station and wider army compete.
Jon Broadbent, director of Clever Energy Boilers and Renewables, says: "We're committed to backing sport in our local area and around the country. The opportunity to sponsor our armed forces and their boxing event was a no-brainer. We knew we had to get involved."
The company's install manager, Richard Craven, who served in the military, says he's looking forward to the event and a reunion with "old friends".
He adds: "To be invited to any military event is an honour, but to have the chance to meet some old friends and enjoy a night of boxing will be overwhelming."
